Notre Dame University, recognized as one of Mikrotik's Academy

Notre Dame University has become a MikroTik Academy in the Philippines. This opportunity means the College of Computer Studies can offer MikroTik Certified Associate (MTCNA) Course to the Students.

Last December 2018, Prof. Masako Elizabeth Magno, a faculty member of the College of Computer Studies and Mr. Jimboy Nacilla, a staff of Information and Communication Technology Department have been officially recognized by MikroTik as a MikroTik Certified Academy Trainer after successfully completing the appropriate trainings and certification requirements. Those certifications include MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA), MiroTik Certified Routing Engineer (MTRCE) and MikroTik Certified User Management Engineer (MTCUME)

The College of Computer Studies will provide the MikroTik trainings for students enrolled under the following programs: Bachelor of Science and Technology, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Information System.

Brief history: MicroTik, founded in 1996, is a Latvian company that develops routers and wireless ISP systems. It now provides hardware and software for internet connectivity all over the world. Their notable products are the RouterOS software system and the RouterBOARD hardware. The headquarters is located in Riga, the capital city of Latvia and currently, it has 280 employees.
