๐๐๐๐ | The Notre Dame University โ Office of Student Affairs and Services conducted a two-day First Aid Training on July 28โ29, 2025, at Tanghalang Michael Clark. The event was attended by faculty members and student leaders from the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Accountancy, and College of Education.
The training officially opened with a welcome message from Mr. Noel Reponte, Director of Student Affairs and Services, who emphasized the vital role of First Aid knowledge in responding to emergencies that may arise within classrooms and throughout the university campus.
Mr. Dan Lester Q. Galindo, RN, UHSWC Coordinator, was introduced as the resource speaker and served as the lead facilitator for the two-day training. The session covered First Aid fundamentals and live demonstrations, followed by a return demonstrations to assess participantsโ skills and understanding.
In an interview, Mr. Jeffrey Encluna, a faculty member from CED, highlighted the practical relevance of the training. โThis is not just something we learn within the four corners of this roomโitโs something I can apply outside. As the head coach of the basketball team, I can help my athletes in times of injury,โ he said.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants and a closing message, marking the successful completion of the two-day training.
