Master in Business Administration (MBA)

The Master in Business Administration (MBA) program is a two-year graduate program usually taken by mid-career professionals to gain an advantage in their professional careers. The curriculum is designed to equip students with the skills that will make them qualified and competent in higher-level management positions. The program centers on the current management techniques, functional areas in the field of business, relevant concepts in economics, applied mathematics, statistics, and behavioral science, and their practical applications. It does not only teach students about theories and applications of business concepts, processes, tools, and techniques but also teaches students about managerial tools and right decision-making processes in a business.

 

Master in Public Administration (MPA)

The Master of Public Administration is a two year graduate program designed to equip students with administrative and management concepts and theories useful in formulating solutions to problems associated with public administration. It also aims to enhance the students’ research capability in areas of public administration, policy formulation and analysis, development management, financial resource management and human resource development and contemporary issues and public affairs. The program also exposes the students to current issues in public administration as well to the practical application of various skills and techniques in the field.

 

Master of Arts in Nursing (MAN)

The Master of Arts in Nursing (MAN) is designed to improve the quality of nursing Education, Practice and Administration by developing the competence of nurses. Graduate students will have varied opportunities to develop their abilities, desirable attitudes, skills and values in the delivery of services in nursing education, practice, and administration. The final requirement of the program is a thesis with researches conducted on nursing subject areas or topics for utilization in the nursing profession.

 

Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) 

Master of Arts in Education program (MAED) is a two-year graduate program that reinforces the students’ understanding of educational theories, concepts, curriculum, and instructional techniques in order to further advance in their professional careers. It enhances the teachers’ theoretical and technical knowledge in teaching a specific subject area or professional area and prepares students for various administrative and supervisory positions in elementary, secondary, post-secondary and vocational programs. The program also gives emphasis on research and is geared towards equipping students with a variety of tools, techniques, and methodologies for conducting, critiquing, and evaluating research in education.

Master of Arts in Peace and Development (MAPD)

Master of Arts in Peace and Development is a two-year interdisciplinary program that will immerse students in the processes related to understanding the concepts of peace, peace building, conflict management, active non-violent resolutions, peace values, and conflict transformation from global to local with emphasis on the Tripeoples of Moslem Mindanao. Students will be engaged with social agencies for peace involved in areas affected by war and violence. The engagements are ways by which they will be able to develop personal conceptual approaches on peace. Also, the program as interdisciplinary in nature will provide students opportunities to examine current debates on the nature of everyday peace and hybrid forms of peace, related questions about the roles, history, and purpose of local agencies such as the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to national and international. In the process, it is directed towards developing students equipped with knowledge on peace and development, engaged with social realities, and able to develop, conduct and contribute original piece of academic research on peace.

 

Master of Arts in English (MA Eng) 

Master of Arts in English (MA-ENG) is a two-year graduate program that enhances the knowledge and skills of English major graduates on the theories and concepts of English language and literature studies. The program aims to produce graduates who are competent in the development of English instructional materials and the management of English programs.

 

Master of Arts in Philosophy (MA Philo) 

The Master of Arts in Philosophy (MA Philo) course aims to develop a critical and logical attitude in identifying, examining and assessing philosophical assumptions, discourses and paradigms about contemporary educational and development issues. Moreover, it explores the different philosophical paradigms and focuses on assumptions and critiques of didactic approaches. In addition to these, it highlights a critical attitude and reflection of the impact of philosophy on education and development as well as the spheres of economy, politics, culture and religion. Finally, cognizant of the crucial role of education in society, students are challenged to analyze key issues and problems particularly the urgency and necessity of social transformation in Central Mindanao, a third world country, like the Philippines, and the global context.
