Grade 12 students present researches

Ten groups of Grade 12 students presented their researches during the Students' Research Forum conducted by the University Research and Publication Center on March 23, 2019 at Tanghalang Michael Clark, Nepomuceno Building ...

The students guided by their advisers focused their research on the theme 'Research for Social Transformation' which is aligned to the vision of Notre Dame University which is educating for Social Transformation in Mindanao.

The following researches were presented:

NDU facilitates online application for CHED UNIFAST Scholarship

Notre Dame University through the Office for Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) facilitated the online application of its students for the CHED Unified Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UNIFAST) Scholarship on March 22- 23, 2019. The OSAS in coordination with the University's ICT provided computer terminals at the Student Center Lounge to enable the students to do the Automated Student Profiling. ...

The UNIFAST also known as Republic Act. No. 10687 reconciles, improves, strengthens, expands and puts under one body all government – funded modalities of Student Financial Assistance Programs for Tertiary Education and special purpose education assistance in both public and private institutions.

“Tertiary Education" follows secondary education or high school. It includes post-secondary non-degree diploma, Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and higher education programs like baccalaureate degrees (college) and graduate education (master's, Ph.D., etc.).

“Special Purpose Education Assistance" refers to research and scientific studies in the College and Masteral/ Doctoral level funded by StuFAPs. It includes funding assistance for the following:

Writing and publication of books, manuscripts, theses, dissertations, scientific and technical journals

Production, filming and documentation (through digital technology) of research and studies

Development of instructional and academic materials and science models

CHEDRO XII Quality Assurance Team visits NDU

Notre Dame University President, Fr. Francis Efren C. Zabala, OMI, D. MIn, welcomed with grateful heart the CHED Regional Office XII Director, Engr. Ronaldo A. Liveta, CESE and his Quality Assurance Team to the University on February 22, 2019.

Engr. Liveta and the other members of the QA team, namely, Dr. Junaib Usman, Prof. Anabelle Dafielmoto and Engr. Jhan Jkem B. Fontanilla assisted the NDU-Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA) Team in the finalization of the ISA-Self Evaluation Document. ...

The CHED ISA-SED is a tool that can measure the internal capacity of an institution vis-a-vis the achievement of their vision and mission. It has five KRAs namely Governance and Management, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Quality of Research, Support to Student Services and Relations to the Community.

The chairpersons of the different committees presented their reports for critiquing. The chairpersons include Fr. Eduardo M. Santoyo, OMI, Dr. Maria Araceli C. Juliano, Dr. Estelita S. Gayak, Dr. Ma. Theresa P. Llano and Prof. Sheila G. Algabre.

Also present during the session were the deans of the colleges, members of the President's Council and the NDU-ISA Core Team.
